Phew- another busy weekend.
Saturday started with bead group where I made a wirework necklace for a friend's birthday (no camera with me I'm afraid).
As it was a version of a bracelet I recently made for issue 23 of Bead magazine I once again had the experience of reading my own instructions (fortunately they made sense!)
Then straight onto York Hall in London's Bethnal Green to cheer on my team The London Rockin Rollers to victory. We won; 105 points to 88, so a few celebratory drinks were had.
You can see some photos of the action here.
Sunday started far too early and off I was for a trip to the 3rd birthday of the London Polymer Clay Group.
This was started way-back in May 2007 and you can see details of the first meeting here (just me and Carol Blackburn then), and then our second (by which time we'd already grown) here.
Unfortunately my Sundays are taken up with work or skating, so I don't get to the group much, but today was a day off so I went along and I'm really glad I did.
As part of the birthday celebrations one of the members, Christine Dumont (who I met last year after she won a 1st and 2nd prize in the British Bead Awards) was teaching a class and I had great fun making some lentil bead pendants and playing around with colour.
