Geometric Stars Class

posted: Sunday, 21 September 2014

I first beaded a Geometric Star way back in about 2004 and since then have gone on to bead many more, create multiple variations on the original design, and teach it to hundreds of people. Even after all of that I never get tired of the idea or introducing it to a new audience.

I find that as a project it teaches people a lot about peyote stitch, the basic of geometric beading, some basic elements of design using peyote stitch and how to begin to work 3-dimensionally.

And at the end you get a gorgeous beaded star!

What more could anyone want?

Today's class went really well and we had at least one fully finished star by the end as well as a couple that used more advanced ideas and were on their way to being very interesting creations.

Behind the scenes I'm working away on updating my Geometric Stars instructions (anyone who has purchased them from me will automatically be emailed an updated version when done) and also beading a brand new project that takes the original stars concept, adds in an idea covered in Geometric Beadwork Volume 1 and covers it with a new pattern and extra components all for some advanced instructions that will be out over the next few months.
