Colour And Creating

I'm crazy busy trying to get all my work done so I can disappear for a week down to Devon for my friends' wedding.

I woke up this morning thinking I was on track as all I had to do was finish making some bunting, buy some essentials and pack.

But then I remembered that an exhibition on making colour, at the National Gallery, which I wanted to see was ending soon and if I didn't fit in a visit today I'd miss it completely.

So the race was on.

Cue manic sewing, viewing and then shopping which took me through 12 hours of craziness but I managed to get it all done and as a reward for that, and for putting up with the nightmare that is shopping in the West End, I treated myself to a visit to Hix @ Selfridges. Here I indulged in a drink and some of their delicious smoked salmon whilst perusing the book on colour I'd bought at the exhibition and trying to catch my breathe before the journey home and the packing that awaited me.
