New Work And Florida Classes

posted: Friday, 06 September 2013

I've been keeping some of my new work with Tilas under wraps but am now revealing 2 of the projects just in time to announce that they're a class in Florida at Beads Gone Wild in just 8 weeks. I'll be teaching 3 different classes on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd November so hope to see you there.

The star is reversible so you can get a different look on each side and it has an integral stringing hole.

The bangle uses a different colour of Tila on each of its 3 sides so you can get a different look just by rotating it before wearing.

Each of these projects took a lot of work as taking the Tilas into account as you bead means thinking of them in up to 6 different rounds. As I've beaded each piece, and scribbled down my instructions, and then followed those instructions to test them, I've had to 'invent' a new way of describing what I'm doing, using different codes for where you are using the Tilas. 2 holes mean lots of different ways to thread through them and allow for them in the work so writing up these instructions will be interesting but I hope what I've come up with will be easy to understand.
