Pampering And Perplexing

Today began, for me at least, with a trip to the salon for a manicure and pedicure which was weirdly relaxing and perplexing. It was like everything in there was done just to slightly unsettle you. The chairs were comfortable but too deep so that you had to sit at the edge, lean forward and wrench your shoulder to have your nails done. Then your feet were soaked in water in a bowl balanced, seemingly precariously, on something else. I felt constantly on edge to see what crazy thing they would do next.

Then it was sushi for lunch at RA Sushi where the dress code for female staff appeared to be swetbands, very, very short shorts and knee socks. Baffling but as they were all about 17 they looked amazing in it.

After lunch it was some shopping where I picked up this 'thing' which I have no idea what I'll use it for but couldn't resist the colours and a book on collecting frisbees and their history. Just in case I ever decide to colelct frisbees, or even just own one, I'm all ready and prepared.

Then we fitted in some thrift shopping where weirdly a noticable proportion of the items had instructions which gave you information on how to use them. This happened on candles (which also contained the use 'whatever') a handbag and an ornament. Who is using these things incorrectly?
