Easy Crochet

I have got an incredibly busy few months coming up so today I gave myself the day off in preparation for it all and sat and crocheted- heaven.

I wasn't up to following detailed patterns so settled down to quick & easy plus trying to use up my yarn stash. First up was this great Black Hole Cowl which I made using 3 balls of Rowan Big Wool I had in my stash- not quite black holey but warm and scrumptious.

Then it was time to finally use the Homespun Yarn I bought years ago in the States and hadn't found the right pattern for. After a lot of searching (if you knit or crochet then Ravelry is the best site ever for helping you with yarns, patterns etc) I went with this Arrow Lake Shawl which I'll be making as a throw as I have 6 balls of the yarn. This pattern was perfect as, once you begin, every row is the same and I could lose myself in it.

As soon as I finish this, and of course my long term rochet blanket, I am desperate to make myself one of these Owl blankets- but using colour changing yarn so I have less balls to start and stop!
