Celebrations And Cocktails

Today began with the first meeting for my new book 'Small Beads, Big Jewelry' and it was nice to get dates into diaries, firm up decisions and get working on it.

To celebrate in the evening we went out to the fabulous JubJub bar at Callooh Callay where we were treated to a menu of beer-based cocktails. The drinks were of course amazing and what better to soak up alcohol than carbs and fat? I wrote recently of my love of Scotch eggs and these were great but the bigger revelation were the chips. The idea of battered chips seemed wrong but these were oh so right. Light and delicious and just what we needed on this cold night.
