When I booked this trip to New York I was looking forward to seeing the Thanksgiving Parade but it wasn't until we got here and I looked up the route map that I realised we merely had to look out of the apartment window for a prime view- yay!

It has been fun over recent evenings to watch and hear practising for the parade happening in front of Macy's and I am so excited I leap out of bed early this morning to make sure I don't miss a thing.

The parade goes on for hours and is also live on TV (in fact the whole parade seems to stop for the TV to go to adverts. Don't get me started on American TV and the ridiculous quantity of adverts...) so inbetween leaning out of the window I sit and bead and watch it on TV.

Parade over we head out to eat with Suzanne Golden, her nephew and friends. Fully fed and thankful we collapse into bed worn out with excitement.
