The Train Rolls On

It was with great trepidation I awoke this morning wondering if the book cover we had fallen in love with yesterday still stood up to inspection the next - and I'm pleased to say it did.

Here is a sneak peak of the draft - it still needs an expert eye to wash over it, refining and tweeking so it's at its optimum best but we thought you might like an early look.

We are of course continuing to take pre-orders for the book. Please note that if you want the extras, swag and bonuses we have been promising, you need to order before 15th April. After that you will just receive a book- but what a book that will be! As we're publishing the first edition of the book ourselves we have the delight of not being restrained by someone else's limits or budget setting. Already this has resulted in us vowing to make the book spiral-bound, to ensure it's as easy as possible for readers to use, and adding over 50 pages of extra content than any book we've ever worked on before- this will be a big book!

Today began, after a sigh of relief at the cover, with a lesson in pentagons where I explained to Kate and Gabriella how they were done and have set them off on their own little experiments and journeys.

Then we moved onto a book meeting where we sat down and began to finesse the actual content, projects, gallery items, techniques, tips, chapters and other content which we want to make sure to include.

This past year of beading has thrown up so many new ideas, that it's astounding to me to see just what is possible with the techniques and ideas we plan to include. Please do 'like' our new Facebook page or check out our blog so you can keep up to date with the latest news.

After a lunch out, where I managed to purchase this incredible Enid Collins bag, it's back home to work on the book, illustrations and of course, more beading. While we were out half of the beads for my new kits arrived- a scarily large number of kilos of beads. These kits and materials packs will be launching over the next few months and I will of course keep you updated.
