Exploring London

Another day, another voucher to use. This time it was for a Cryptic Covent Caper run by Hidden City.

I don't want to give away too much about what it involved in case you do it, and you really should. But I will tell you we had a lot of fun and got to visit parts of London we had never seen before, never knew existed and certainly never expected to be able to walk right in to. It made us look at places we had been before in a new light, educated us and was a really enjoyable way to spend the day (we did a lot of meandering and stopped to chat and enjoy our surroundings a lot hence it taking us hours).

Some highlights of the day I can talk about were starting at The Real Food Market by the Southbank and eating hot food whilst standing in the freezing cold and getting to see Living Architecture's A Room For London. Imagine how wondrous it would be to stay in there.

We were disappointed that the Pitt Cue Co food van was nowhere to be seen but when I got home I was pleased to discover they have a permament home from which to dispense barbecue and Picklebacks.

By the end of the day we were worn out and ready to head home as the snow was starting...
