I'm busy working away on two different projects at the moment and there's a lot of contrast between them. One uses pearls and the colours of nature whilst the other uses Delicas and bold stripes of red, black and white.
The 'natural' project is a St Petersburg Chain lariat and beading it is very enjoyable. Not only do the seed beads and pearls feel lovely in my hands, the work is full of drape and movement. Having beaded so many structural, geometric pieces recently it's nice to be reminded that beadwork can drape and flow!
