Today is a day of roller derby bouts for my team, the London Rockin Rollers.

First up is a bout between the A-team and the best that Stuttgart has to offer: The Stuttgart Valley Roller Dollz. This is a yearly event with either them travelling to us or vice versa. Over time it has developed a Star Wars theme hence the All-Stars being led out by a flag-waving Ewok, R2D2 and some Storm Troopers (which I was petrfied of when I saw them yesterday. People wearing masks instantly puts me on edge- add to tha guns and them being what seemed like 7ft tall and I was distinctly scared). It was a close and exciting bout and I'm glad to say we won.

Next up was an internal bout between my team, the Voodoo Skull Krushers, and The Goldie Looking Chain Gang.

We knew it would be a close match and as we spend all year skating with each other and know each others strengths and weaknesses etc, I think we were all worried, but you just don't know how it will go until the bout starts.

It was a very tough, exciting game but we won and I was pleased to celebrate afterwards with a visit to the great Lahore Express, and this I remembered to take a photo of the huge array of food we ordered.

All too soon it was time to take my very battered and bruised body home for sleep and a chance to try and repair itself.
