Well we made it. It took ten years but I got back there again.

The day was so hot we delayed going out until around 3pm and amazingly it only took about 40 minutes to get there. In my mind all these years I had worried it was far away and too far to visit. Why I didn't Google it before now I have no idea.

When we arrived the view and noise of people taking the opportunity on this very hot and windy day to fly kites was incredible. There were so many that we were frequently at risk of decapitation by their strings, but managed to survive the day.

The gliding school was busy and we sat for hours watching planes take off and land. I bought an ice-cream, but only to re-create the photo from ten years ago of course, and time flew by in a relaxes, sunny haze.

Next time I won't leave it so long before I return. Fingers crossed anway.
