More Brighton

I'm frantically busy today catching up with emails and paperwork having not worked much over the past 3 days, so nothing exciting to photograph.

Instead here are some more photos from yesterday which show what I saw in Brighton.

First up is the striking skeleton of the burnt down West Pier. I love piers as they remind me of being excited in my childhood and playing in arcades and looking at the sea. Fortunately Brighton has another one or this would be too tragic to bear.

The Brighton Royal Pavillion is an iconic building which was built between 1878 and 1823. I have yet to go inside but walked through its grounds yesterday where I spotted these softly coloured hollyhocks.

Choccywoccydoodah specialise in cakes and chocolate and their display is worth looking at.

Over the course of the day I did a bit of shopping but seeing as there were so, so many delightful things we saw, I think I was quite restrained in the end!
