Chain Maille And Colours

A lovely day today teaching my chain maille class and getting to play with jump rings.

It was a small group and we had plenty of time to make and chat on subjects ranging from the weather, safaris, modern art, raising children, lights, tools, shopping and families. By the end of the day it was great to see just how productive everyone had been and all the shiny chains they went home with.

One of the students, the lovely Yvonne Rissone, had taken my recent faux crochet class and came today wearing a colourful necklace she had completed since then. Just how much does that make you want to get your seed beads and daggers out and get creating?

After class it was onto London Fields to enjoy a roller girl birthday party in the park with laughter, sunshine, a puppy and a game of poker in which no-one seemed to know the rules. It felt like half of London was taking advantage of the sunshine and the park was packed with groups of people having picnics, barbecues, tug-of-war matches and other general fun. Isn't the sunshine just the best mood enhancer there is?
