Colourful Clothes

It is an eternal annoyance that as much as I love clothes, I hate shopping for them. I just can't be bothered. I want to snap my fingers and they appear, in the perfect size, shape and colour, in my wardrobe all ready for me to choose from in the morning.

It's the whole queuing, trying things on, getting hot and flustered, being barged by other shoppers nonsense I hate. Never mind looking in the mirror and realising how awful the outfit you're in looks. Then you realise it's the one you own and wore in there. Never fun.

The closest I can get to improving this is running into a shop and grabbing random items without trying them on. This leaves me to explore their unsuitableness in the privacy of my own home.

I also do a version of this when I shop online. This I try to avoid for clothes, shoes and beads, unless I know exactly what I want, as it has so many inherent dangers. How many times do you buy something from a screen and it turns up looking very different? and the wrong size? or just wrong? Does anyone here buy beads, which clearly state they're 4mm, and isn't surprised when they arrive at just how tiny they are compared to how they looked on the screen?

So I always end up buying lots knowing that I will end up returning 90%+.

This is exactly what I've done today. I went into a clothes shop (to return some shoes thatI had bought last week) and ended up being dazzled by all the summer colours and patterns I saw in their sale. Before I knew it, I was buying an armful of pretty dresses which are pictured here.

So I guess my Wednesday will be filled with returning most of these. I might suggest they fit a revolving door just for me.

One dress I am definitely keeping is the spotty one- how could I not? There can never be enough dots, spots or circles in my life.

I'm having a day out tomorrow and will christen it then with my lovely (years old) purple shoes, yellow belt (bought 2 years ago in New York) and purple polymer clay necklace I made nearly 3 years ago. Black and white spots are the perfect background to cover in colour and big jewellery, already I can see this dress being worn until it falls apart.
