Seeing Stars

I am down in Dorset now at StitchnCraft Beads teaching my Geometric Stars class.

It is the first time I have managed to get to the shop (not driving cramps your bead shop visiting style somewhat) and it is a delight.

I came down yesterday but unfortunately it was raining so no sight-seeing was possible, but today is a bit brighter and I get to enjoy the scenery as we drive to the shop and when I go for a quick walk at lunchtime.

The shop is large and light and airy and so is the classroom which makes for a relaxed day.

I do lots of demoinstrating throughout the day showing how to make the necessary sections using some large plastic beads and part of me is tempted to make a full star in these. but I resist-so far.

As a teacher, and fan of working in colour, one of my highlights when teaching is getting to see a design of yours worked in many different colours combinations without having to bead them all yourself!

I remember feeling this strongly when teaching my Pizzazz Pendant and getting to see many different variations made up and my stars class is another example where I get to see different colours and patterns take shape and inspire me.

The day is over before we know it and I catch the train back to London for skating practice and determined to get some beading done before too long- all those colour possibilites have got my creative juices flowing.
