Peacocks And Pools

Just got back from a lovely 3 days of teaching at Earnley Concourse in Chichester.

I taught 3 different classes (wirework, chain maille and vikign weave) and people could sign up to 1, 2 or all 3 as they all combined well.

I travelled down to Chichester on Monday night and is was a lovely drive through Sussex (where I seem to be spending so much time recently with all my trips to Arundel and Worthing) and got prepared to begin teaching on Tuesday.

I had never been to Earnley before teaching there and had never even heard of it before they asked me so I was interested to see it and have to say I was more than pleasantly surprised. The accomodation is clean, comfortable and really nice to stay in and the class room was perfect with lots of space and light. The food was fantastic- and there was lots of it with many tea and cake breaks scheduled into the day. The people (staff and students alike) were all so friendly and welcoming and to top it all being able to go for a swim after a hard days work and then head to the bar meant I will definitely be looking forward to returning both as a teacher and hopefully as a student!

Another highlight was seeing the peacocks which roam around the college. I heard them as soon as I arrived on Monday but it took until Wednesday for me to see them in the grounds and then a while longer before one of them would actually display his beautiful feathers.

If you're interested I am teaching both my Wirework Projects class and Geometric Beadwork there later in the year.
