New Jewellery All Round

I have managed to finish my new beaded earrings 'Peacock Petals' (look out for them in issue 14 of Bead Magazine).

I also got to do some more beading today which was a joy. A friend came over and we looked at right-angle weave. This is a stitch I rarely use even though I know how to do it. I think it's just one I never consider as being useful for designing. I didn't get very far with in- not in a beading mood- so instead we finished early and went shopping!

Of course I have been fitting in lots more web browsing and every day eagerly look forward to seeing the latest installment in Rosie Wyatt and Tjobe Andrews' fantastic Great British Craft Tour. They're touring around Britian in a camper van and meeting up with as many crafts people as they can. Keep an eye on the site for the interviews, craft work and adventures.

My daily web browsing always takes in lots of jewellery sites (for research purposes of course- an editor has to keep up to date with what's out there!) and excitingly Tatty Devine have just launched their new jewellery range and I'm especially coveting some of it- just trying to decide between a bobbypin necklace or brooch, or even a zip necklace. Alternatively for all us jewellery makers out there how about a clasp necklace, bracelet or brooch

But there's always the option to just say blow the budget and buy this or this from Nigel Reyes at Fountainhead Jewelry I love both of them so much I'm beginning to dream of them!
