We've got today off before the Maggie Meister master class begins and we spend it in central London with a visit to the amazing Hand & Lock, a trip to Liberty and a great hours-long lunch full of good food & conversation at one of my favourite restaurants.
It was a delight to visit Hand & Lock and meet the lovely Lucy Martin. It was a joy to see, and handle, so many beautiful & intricate pieces of embroidery & goldwork as well as learn the history of the company and how much of the work is made, including their work for Royal families, movies, the ecclesiastical world and show business… plus do some colourful shopping before we left…
