It's a friend's birthday today so I took some of the day off and 3 of us ran around London having fun in the sunshine.
We trawled vintage clothes shops for bargains & unique items, made our own cocktails in the sun, pedalled and rowed on the Serpentine (saving a baby goose along the way) before collapsing, hot, sweaty & exhausted, in the bar of the Lanesborough where we were instantly transported into a different world.
The drinks, atmosphere and service were wonderful (especially the surprise birthday cake and piano playing) and though we only stayed 30 minutes it felt like hours and a complete escape from the rest of London.
