Beading Variations

One of the many reasons I love beading is the endless possibilities. An extra round here, a decrease there etc and you have created something brand new.

Often when I'm beading I'll play with my work in my hands, turn it around, manipulate it,examine it, and get to thinking, and before I know it a whole new design is being developed. The first example of this was my Cubed Cubes series of work (follow the links on that page to see the journey the series took) which all developed after I played around with a flat bracelet.

This photo is the perfect example of that: on the left is the pendant from my Peacock Flower Necklace and on the right is the lid of my new Peacock Box.
