Beading And Baking

posted: Thursday, 28 July 2016

This evening, spurred on by a temporary reprieve from my physical ails, I got to beading and made 2 samples for new projects.

One is based on my sketches from the other day and the other is a completely different idea, sketched many years ago after seeing someone wear an interesting vintage necklace combined with some sketches I made of gates and fencing along with jewellery I remember people wearing when I was at school.

After beading I got to baking and made these madeleines from Sabrina Ghayour's book Persiana.

I had no pistachios so had to sub in walnuts but these delicious warm bundles of joy crammed with said walnuts, rose, raspberries & cherries were just what the Doctor ordered.
