Chicago 2016 - Day 8

posted: Monday, 11 April 2016

Today was sadly my last day in Chicago for 2016 but we spent it in style.

There has been much discussion this week in class about needlepoint and it was agreed by all that Lisa and I needed to visit a specific shop... and so it would have been rude not to!

Our day off began with an amazing massage, which may have worked against us as we entered the shop in such a relaxed state of mind that before we knew it we were loading up with canvases, threads and accoutrements.

I felt I had earned the right to do so as last night I managed to finish my first piece of needlepoint that I chose the stitches and thread for all by myself... and so I surely need some more things to add to my 'to-stitch-list'...

After a few hours browsing and buying we needed a stiff drink to get over the shock of how much we spent so margaritas and Mexican food were the perfect remedy.
