Today in New York we had another food tour and took in some wonderful places in Manhattan and Brooklyn including the great Russ & Daughters with its amazing store front and design.

Afterwards we took a wander through downtown and got to visit the wonderful C.O. Bigelow whose fragrances and toiletries I'm a big fan of. It was wonderful to get to see unique and niche products for sale and toiletries from companies that have been going for hundreds of years and must now only have a handful of outlets - such a treat.

Then it was onto Astor Wines to stock up on some bitters before sliders for dinner.

By the end of the day we were tired and had an early night but by 10pm we were still awake and so said 'Screw it, let's get up, go out and seize the world' and within 15 minutes we were at The Rum House listening to the best live music I've ever heard and drinking some of the best cocktails we've ever had. And who needs sleep when you have that?
