New York 2015 - Part Two - Day Four

posted: Sunday, 27 September 2015

A busy day today which began with setting up my booth at LOOT.

All my 100+ items of beadwork had to be unpacked, their tags checked, and then I had to narrow down what I wanted to put in the stand. All in all it took about 4 hours surrounded by other jewellery artists all doing the same.

A highlight of the work was finally getting to meet the designer Helen Noakes whose work I have long admired. Her jewellery, which uses miniature people and animals in it, couldn't be more up my street and of course she's just as lovely in real life as I'd hoped. You can watch her talking about her work, and see her working on some jewellery, here.

This evening was a cocktail reception for all of the artists in the show and I attended with Stacy, and the wonderful Suzanne Golden, and of course we looked the part and attended draped in jewellery.
