Senses Overload Part 1

posted: Monday, 15 June 2015

After the weekend of guests I now have new ones in the shape of my parents over to see us and visit the Royal Academy Summer Exhibiton so today i got to take a day off and go out with them for an overdose to all my senses.

Our day began with the exhibition, I've written before about my love for it along with my childhood memories of my parents going to it, so to get to go with them every year is a real treat for me.

This years show was just full of colour which of course really appealed to me. From the entrance-way with stairs decorated by Jim Lambie to the colourful work in the Central Hall by Liam Gillick and all of the many, many wonderful works of art shown. This year, for the first time, you can actually see all the works of art online and I really recommend you take the time to check them out.

By the time we left the exhibition our eyes and mind were filled with colour but our day was only begun...
