Heading Home

As much as I love travelling I do wish I could magic myself (and my luggage!) home in an instant.

I wished this especially hard when checking in for my flight home yesterday and Toronto airport was in chaos. It was seemingly from some luggage handling going awry (of course no-one told us anything) and in the end we were all asked to just leave our bags in the terminal and promised it would all be OK... seeing as it took about 15 staff to figure out how to organise a queue I wasn't feeling too optimistic!

But they were true to their word and I, and all my belongings, arrived home safe and sound ready for a few days of sleeping before unpacking and getting back to work.

I had a great last few days of my trip as I love visiting BeadFX and also got to spend my evenings drinking Martinis and putting the world to rights with the lovely Suzie from Suzie Q Beads, Buttons & Bijoux in Calgary. I hope to one day visit the shop but until then I'll just have to be satisfied with this amazing 'in shop tour' that just makes me wish I could step inside my computer screen.

I'm excited to know I just have one more trip before I can spend some time at home and get around to all those exciting beading projects I have planned, including using these gorgeous flat-back vintage crystals I managed to pick up recently- they are unbelievably sparkly and I can't wait to play with them!
