Bead & Button 2014 Day 9

posted: Sunday, 08 June 2014

It's my last day at the Bead & Button Show and it passes in a panic of last minute shopping.

I bagged some amazing clasps (perfect for some kits I have planned for the next few months), met the lovely ladies from Ezel and telling them just how much I love their Beading Pal and clasps, indulged in some last minute lampwork buying including this gorgeous cardinal by Susan Matych-Hager and popped along to see Miyuki to find out about their new Duracoat Opaque beads (look out for these in a kit very soon!)

Sadly the father of the friend I was due to stay with the next few days has been taken ill so I have to toss up between paying a ridiculous price to fly home early, stay 2 nights by myself in Milwaukee or spend 2 nights with the lovely Lisa Garoon from City Beads. It wasn't a hard choice and thankfully Lisa could put me up and as I got into her car at lunchtime and we drove away from the madness that is the show I was ready for some sleep, some time with friends and to crack open at least 1 of all those kits I bought and get some beading done!
