Book Progress

Sadly my shoulder is still agonisingly painful and now my neck is too. Finally I've decided to get help for it and am awaiting the results of an MRI but in the meantime I'm trying to ignore it as I need to work like mad.

Geometric Beadwork Volume 2 has been delayed a few weeks more than I wanted because of my shoulder but I really want it to be in my hands to take with me when I visit the Bead and Button show at the end of May. So I have no time for pain and have promised myself that if I can get through this I can have time off later.

Time is especially tight as I've got so much teaching planned and had expected the book to be done by now but those days of being unable to use the computer or bead really slowed me down.

But as I sit here and look at the book pages and the photos of the work I can't help but smile and look forward to its arrival. Hence my sneak peek at a snapshot of a project from the book- one of a few to use more easily available 27mm round crystals rather than the 30mm I usually use. A lot of maths had to be done to get the projects to work but it was exciting to see them come to life and now appear in the book.

The majority of the book is done, and laid out, and on Thursday evening heads off to be proof-read whilst I teach in New York. I hope on my return not to have too much more to do and that, depending on my shoulder and jetlag etc, make the printers soon after and then be in my hands around the 28th May- very exciting!

As a result the pre-orders of the book will stop in two weeks so if you want to take advantage of the discount and exclusive project you need to act soon.
