Icos And Making

Another day at Charisma Beads and another project- this time Icos Pendants. By the end of the day everyone has mastered the tricky and intricate steps needed and many Icos pieces were on their way to being finished.

After class we headed off for a return visit to Heritage RD for dinner to celebrate my niece turning 15. The food was great and I fell in love again with the surroundings and the bathroom decor has inspired me to copy it, so I've now got my eye out for vintage hand mirrors.

One highlight of the evening was seeing a wood and acrylic ring my niece had made for her mum. I, of course, coveted it (it was gorgeous) and was delighted when I discovered she'd made it. I was mainly pleased because when she was younger she proclaimed to me that 'making is boring' and broke my heart. Ever since I've held out hope that if I try hard enough I'll convince her otherwise so fingers crossed it's seeped in. I'll make a beader of her yet!
