Strawberries On My Mind

The thing I like most about beading is starting a new project. The anticipation of whether the idea will work, discovering how the chosen colours combine and seeing an idea I had come to life in my hands. Once I'm past that stage I just want to rush onto the next project.

Beading further examples of the same project therefore is something I equally love and hate. I get the joy of beginning something new but then I have to finish it for a second (or third or fourth...) time!

Fortunately these beaded strawberries were such a pleasure to bead (and quick too) that I had finished each one before I was fed up of it.

The basic pattern also allows for variation so I played around a lot with where I began each one to see how that altered the finished result and got to see how how adding or removing rounds affected what I made.

These strawberries, and how to use them, will be taught in my Strawberry Delight Class next year and who knows how many I'll have beaded by then!
