Geometric Suspensions In Florida

posted: Saturday, 13 April 2013

I'm still here in West Palm Beach and having a great time- a lovely group of students, catching up and staying with friends and some fab bead shopping all combine for a wondrous time.

Today's class is Geometric Suspensions and after yesterday it seems a doddle! Ok, maybe not... once again when it comes to my projects seeing is not believing. You may look at these pieces and think you know how they're done but I have to say their construction involves some little tips and I don't think anyone in the class had guessed how they were actually made.

As always it was fun to see all the different colours used as well as the different feature beads and size of main beads chosen as that can create a dramatically different piece both in looks and scale (plus time of beading).

At the moment I only have plans to teach this class twice more so if you want to learn how to create your own Geometric Suspensions please book to see me at Beads By Blanche in New Jersey on the 19th May and Beads of Color in Toronto on the 24th June.

Frequently throughout the day I find myself popping into the shop next door and today I treated myself to some of these incredible 2mm Czech pearls. I am already using them in a Geometric Suspensions variation but have decided to bead something else with them. If you're in the UK I know you can get them from StitchnCraft Beads.
