Another Day Off In Malta

posted: Friday, 22 February 2013

It's still very warm and I'm still tired so today is pretty much like yesterday except for a visit to a restaurant for a wood fired pizza and a mozzarella ball as big as a baby's head.

Apart from that most of my day is spent sitting at a bar/ restaurant opposite the hotel where I can watch the sea and boats travel in and out of the harbour as I read a book and snooze.

Evenings begin with dinner and then a visit to the hotel bar which has front pages from different Maltese newspapers from over the years where I caught this snippet. I originally though M. Paul De Cassagnac must have been busy sleeping with other men's wives but the real story is rather different and less salacious. You can read about his father here, him here (in French unfortunately) and can even see one of his fencing duels here.
