New York 2012- Day 8

posted: Saturday, 17 November 2012

Today begins with work as I'm teaching for the Bead Society of Greater New York and it's a day filled with pentagons.

Like a fool I left my camera at the apartment so can't show you any of the lovely work the students did, or what I saw in my return trip to The City Quilter (where I was very restrained and only bought a book) or what Elaine Glazer was wearing today. But I can boast that thanks to Elaine I now have my very own pair of crystal glasses which I shall wear with immense pride.

After class, and my excursion to The City Quilter it was time for dinner with the wonderful Suzanne Golden- one of my all-time beading heroes who just happens to be a pretty awesome person too.

Suzanne kindly took us to Churrascaria Plataforma which specialises in grilled meat which they walk around with and offer to you. That's such a bad description for what was a wonderful restaurant. There as such a huge range of delicious food we ate a ridiculous amount before heading home to bed.
