Bangle & Beads

In the midst of Contemporary Geometric Beadwork taking over my life I'm trying to get thoughts of 2013 in my head and finish projects which have been ideas floating around my mind for months, and years, so that I have lots of new things to teach.

One such project is this new bangle which uses beadwork (not bead embroidery) to create an interchangeable piece where you can swap out the centrepiece. Unfortunately I've used up all my favourite DB22s so haven't had a chance to start the other centrepiece I want to make for this piece- nor the new bangle base I want to make.

Keep an eye out for when and where I'll be teaching this in the future...

A parcel of gorgeous things poppped through my letterbox this morning and I excitedly opened it to find all sorts of goodies I had ordered from Perles & Co. I've never ordered from them before, but after hours of trying to track down a specific crystal I wanted to try out for a project I remembered they had been recommended to me for their range of crystal and gave them a go. I wasn't disappointed and spent far too much time, and money, on their site but it was worth it when I opened the package.

Except like I fool I had ignored my instincts and bought the specific crystal in the wrong size so will have to order in some more and hope that the new size works or I'll have a lot of shiny things I have no idea what to do with on my hands.
