French Escape

Originally Kate Mckinnon and I were going to spend February holed up in France working away on our new book. But when we considered the weather... Tucson was by far the best option.

But the UK and france have been undergoing a heatwave this week and so when the opportunity to pop over to France, enjoy some sun and see my family came up, I leapt at it hence me spending my Saturday evening in Fort Mahon eating oysters, moules & frites and ice-cream all washed down with an amazing Americano cocktail all for the bargain price of 24€.

I first had an Americano last year and fell in love with it. I have ordered it since in the Uk and its no way near as good. Wish I knew the magic ingredient which is added in France... it can't just be being in France can it?

Unfortunately the weather didn't hold up long past us arriving here, so we never even got to sit outside or enjoy seeing the sea, but I did run up and down a sand dune which was my first exercise in weeks.
