Today I once again wake up in Tucson. I ponder for a while why the house is so quiet and then soon discover it's because Kate is sadly unwell. A bad dinner has put paid to her for the day and so Gabriella van Diepen and myself soldier on, beading enough for all of us.

Before I get up to meet the day, one of Kate's cats, Simon, joins me to see what I'm up to. I am so pleased by his beautiful nose that I finally start my day taking photos. Unfortunately I forget to take any more all day so this is all I can treat you to.

I solemnly promise not to be one of those people whose blogs mainly consist of cat photos- just as soon as I remember to take any other photos that is.
