After all the animal excitement yesterday we headed back to Earnley to bead and I began a new project. Or rather a variation on an old project.

I originally beaded a single-sided one of these back in April but the original ideas sprang up 7 or 8 years ago. Ever since I have wanted to make a double-sided one, but hadn't yet put needle to thread and done so. Yesterday seemed the perfect day to give it a try.

I have pondered doing this many times, as there are a few structural and practical things to consider, and I had hoped I had them all worked out but you can never be sure until you try it. Fortunately all went went and the idea seems to have worked. I'm going to make at least 2 more the next couple of days and then work on making a rope and fastening to complete the project.
