New Key

After lots of beading, unbeading, beading, thread cutting, beading, bafflement, beading, sulking and a bit more beading I have finally finished my second beaded key.

I am happy with how I have worked out the change from beadwork with the bead holes facing one way, to beadwork with the bead holes at a 90 degree angle to the first ones. Or, put in a simpler way, going from beading the loop of the key in a circle, to going off to one side and beading the stem or blade from one spot. It took quite a bit of doing to make sure the beadwork looks smooth, and I will need to experiement with different beads to ensure it works with others and not just the ones I used, but I think this project is getting there.

The teeth of the key need working on but again this was a bit of experimenting to see if the general idea physically worked and now I know it does I can work on perfecting it.

I see lots more keys in my future.
