We Make London

I love We Make London. Anyone that encourages the making and buying of hand-crafted items is good in my book.

So when I heard they were going to be running a pop-up shop this week, ably assisted by my good friend and talented maker Julie of Natty Jewels, I immediately put visiting it on my must-do list.

Today I got a chance to pop there and was not disappointed. The shop is gorgeous and crammed full of items you just want to pick up and take home. It features jewellery, children's cloths, fascinators, prints, paper artwork, bath products, furniture, lampshades, stationary, cookies and many, many more covetable things. The prices start at just a couple of pounds and everything has been carefully selected to be of high quality.

I was soon overwhelmed with choice but managed, fortunately, to get my shopping list down to these colourful prints by Mrs Eliot Books, a teal and gold feathered fascinator and some fun jewellery.

The shop is open until 6pm this Saturday and is near Hampstead tube in North London so easy to get to. If you like beautiful items and wish to enourage makers then this is the place to be.

I apologise if I sound like an advertisement. I just want to do my bit to enourage people who create wondeful hand-crafted items and also those who help them to do that.
