Beading And Feeding

I've decided to have a lazy day today and take advantage of the fact my boyfriend has the day off work. So I spend most of it catching up on all those crime dramas I've recorded recently and not managed to watch. It's a feast of Law and Order, CSI and the amazing The Shadow Line (possibly my favourite programme ever).

In additon I'm working on finishing my urban inspired necklace and have decided to add some teals to it for extra warmth. I wasn't sure if the combination would work but stuck with it and really like how they look.

In the evening we decide to continue our good day by heading out to a restaurant I have wanted to go to for a long time, The Hawksmoor. I have heard nothing but good reviews for this place and it soon becomes apparent why. Not only do they do great cocktails, and fabulous food, the staff and atmosphere were great. The menu is possibly designed for carnivores (we were there for steak and chips so I didn't even check out any other options) but they do it so well. In additon to our steak I decided to continue my food bravery (snails and raw meat on Saturday and cheese chocolate yesterday) and ordered grilled bone marrow. I was expecting a small thing, but when it arrived it resembled something that like Fred Flintstone or Desperate Dan would happily chew away on it!

I still can't decide if I liked it or not, it fell into that weird category of delicious and unstomachable.

After eating far, far too much we headed off into the night to watch yet more TV- a good day all round.
