Return Visit

Once again I'm back in Southwold- I find this place irresistible!

Of course a trip to Southwold means a trip to the Under The Pier arcade where I got to try out some machines I hadn't before and win my own piece of nuclear waste.

But the highlight of the day was a visit to the lighthouse. On both my previous visits this was closed so I was delighted it was open.

Well, that was until I got about 10 steps up the winding staircase and remembered my terror of heights.

But the fear was worth it as the view from the top was incredible and seeing the reality of how the lighthouse worked and the tiny, tiny bulbs used was an education.

The rest of the day was spent wandering around and enjoying the sunshine as well as indulging in some local food and drink specialities before winding our way home so I could get back to training for my roller skate marathon.
