The sun setting in The High Line
Just like London, New York is full of great juxtapositioning of old and new
My last full day in New York and you can guess how I spend it!
Obviously when I talk about shopping I mainly mean browsing, as New York is proving to be a very expensive place. I guess it's mainly Manhattan but I am continually shocked to see jewellery and clothes which would be priced at £20-40 in the UK selling here for the equivalent of £200.
Even Christmas trees, which I would expect to pay £30 or so for here, were selling on the street for the equivalent of £120. Very weird.
Anyway, this time we head to the Meat Packing District.
First brunch at The Fig & Olive and then onto a few shops for much trying on of out-of-my-price-range jewellery.
Then a walk along The High Line which is to be recommended simply for people watching and architecture admiring.
Lastly it's onto dinner and saying goodbye to Suzanne Golden who has been a fabulous host!
