Fun With Clay

posted: Tuesday, 29 July 2008

Had an incredibly busy week last week but took Saturday off to have fun and spent the day playing around with Polymer Clay. Despite all my previous hopeless attempts leaving me feeling distinctly un-optimistic beforehand, I had a great day and am really pleased with all the beads I made.

A fantastic Beadwork artist, Kerrie Slade, has created a beaded ribbon pin and from the 11th August the pattern will be available to buy and during August and September all the funds raised will be donated to charity. Find out all about it, and how to try and win your own Kerrie Slade original, by clicking here

As usual I have been busy browsing the internet and below are some of the websites that might be of interest to you:

The Bali Beadwork Centre has a great blog where you can see all about the great work that is created there and you can purchase some of it here.

If you spend a lot of time on the computer or beading (I wish) as I do then podcasts are great to listen to while you work away. My favourite is CraftyPod- Sister Diane is fabulous!
Some others which migth be of interest are:
Craftcast
Craft Sanity
Craft Lit
Candiecast
The National Museum of the American Indian also have some interesting podcasts/ videos which feature beading.
