In the blink of an eye my life took a quick swerve in a new direction on Monday 16th when an estate agent we invited around to discuss what we needed to do to sell our house announced "nothing" and before we knew it within 3 days our house was sold and we're now looking for a new one.

I've been keeping some of my new work with Tilas under wraps but am now revealing 2 of the projects just in time to announce that they're a class in Florida at Beads Gone Wild in just 8 weeks. I'll be teaching 3 different classes on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd November so hope to see you there.

After getting up at 4am for my flight yesterday I fell asleep as soon as I got home and when I woke I was so cold and tired it seemed sensible to ignore all the very urgent beading I have to do and instead focus on starting yet another new scarf project.

I'm still working on geometric projects using tila beads but my pallette has switched to my favourite Delica colour- 331 and brown/ bronze tilas. I'm enjoying using the beads a lot and the new twist they've put on some 'old favourites' of mine.

So many new shapes of beads have entered the market in the past couple of years and so far I've mainly steered away from them. The main reason for this is I have a life-times worth of projects in my mind for just Delicas and seed beads so other beads don't always get much of a look in!

The 5-day bead embroidery class I'm teaching began today with everyone making their own sampler of stitches. This is a great way to learn the basics, warm up to the subject and begin playing with colour, beads, texture etc ready for the rest of the week

I have recently fallen in love with Washi Tape but am finding it hard to get any in the UK (especially all those with amazing patterns) so stocked up when I was in Canada so that I could add to my collection and also add a kit using the tape to my website.
