In the left hand drawing I am trying to describe where you need to place beads of different colours on the rope to set the base for your embellishing.
The picture on the right was me trying to play about with this and see what other arrangements I could come up with. I soon gave up on this and as you will see in the finished piece, I changed the embellishment completely as I felt what was used in the samples was too OTT in the finished necklace.
