This beadwork sample was done to experiment with joining the motifs in different directions and at different angles to make larger flat pieces.

However, I soon realised that the six-sided honeycomb structure to the motifs wouldn't allow them to be joined how I wanted them to be.

I would have to go back to the drawing board and change the whole structure to get what I wanted.
