It is wonderfully hot and sunny here in the Netherlands and we cram as much as we can in to make the most of it.
The main event of the day is a trip to Escher in the Palace which is devoted to the life and work of M.C. Escher but is so much more than that.
Not only does it showcase so much of his amazing artwork (and styles of work I had no idea that he did) but the building has been used in a very creative way with interesting ways of displaying work and incredible lights adorned with crystals which make each room an artwork in itself.
Next up was a tram to the beach for dinner and a paddle in the cold water.
