The internet, and especially Facebook, has a way of shortening distances and bringing people together and it's a great way to 'meet' other beaders and see amazing work from around the World.

I've no idea when I first made friends with the lovely and talented Cate Jones, and her equally talented and lovely mum Mo Fisher, but I always love seeing their work and so when Cate announced she was getting married and becoming Cate Venn, and asked me if I would teach a private class for them as a present to Mo for helping with the wedding I had to say yes!

So today I headed up to Leicester and we had a busy and fun-filled day making Icos pieces, Beaded Frames and even Interlocking Crystals (I told you these ladies were talented, they flew through all 3 projects in no time!).

It was really lovely to finally meet them and get to chat about beads, beading and the beading World.

Sadly the day flew by too quickly and I had to head home but pleased to have finally met these lovely ladies.
